Agenda Feminist Media is an established not for profit organization that uses print, broadcast and new media technologies to strengthen the capacity of women and men to challenge gender discrimination and inequality. Agenda Feminist Media has a 6 month contract position for a Radio Journalist.

3. Position will be based in Agenda's Office in Durban

Vacancy: Radio Journalist - 6 month contract

Reports to the Director
Competencies and Experience
An appropriate qualification in Media/Journalism
Min 3 years experience in broadcast/radio programmes
Ability to research stories/topics, coordinate and conduct workshops
Conversant with various media computer programmes
Experience in Podcasting
Sound communication and networking skills
Proposal and report writing
Self directed, highly motivated and reliable

Key Performance Areas:

Design and develop broadcast project
Responsible for implementation of broadcast/radio projects
Identify donors and other income generating opportunities for the programme
Responsible for promoting, evaluating and reporting on broadcast projects
Coordinate and generate broadcast content for the website
Mentor and support Radio Intern
 Undertake additional responsibilities as and when required by the needs of the organization
