Over the past nine years, Agenda's internship programme has proven to be successful and influential way of developing capacity amongst female media professionals. Specific skills learned in the internship programme:

• Critical analysis from a gender perspective
• Research skills
• Gender sensitivity training
• Develop a network of contacts for future work
• Interviewing skills
• Writing to deadlines
• Managing information sources and time management
