A view from the street-level by informal traders. Expanding the meaning of ‘safe’ to create a city that sustains women-friendly, eco-friendly and safe environments for the urban poor. 30 minutes.

Tarryn Powys – Commissioner for the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE).
How do the Commission on Gender Equality (CGE) and the Ministry of Women, Children and People with Disabilities work to overcome gender inequality in South Africa.  30 minutes

Discussion: What can we learn from this for organisation and research on women’s gender equality struggles. 20 minutes
